Folding Chair Meet-Up at the Progress Center for Black Women

Let’s keep the conversation going!

We were already planning to open our space as a meet-up opportunity for folks heading over to MadLit. So we thought — this is the perfect opportunity to gather and vibe over a discussion about Sunday’s historic show of Black unity in Montgomery, AL!

Here’s what you can expect (and schedule):

HIGHLIGHTS:

– PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR FOLDING CHAIRS!

– Queen P’s Throne will have her folding chair earrings for sale. ($12 a pair)

– We’ll provide a veggie/fruit tray + red velvet cake/cupcakes, sweet tea, and bottled water. We encourage you to bring your own favorite snacks/drinks too.

SCHEDULE:

– 6pm – 6:30pm: Arrive + grab something to eat and drink

– 630pm – 7pm: we’ll watch and review videos from Sunday’s historical show of Black unity.

– 7pm – 730pm: discussion and review of our favorite memes from the historic Alabama Riverfront event. We’ll discuss our favorite folks such as AquaMayne, the security guard, the skipping Black wise men, and more!

730pm – 7:45: wrap up and proceed to head downstairs with our folding chairs to enjoy MadLit. (it’s literally right outside of our building)
